This Oribi youngster lay down & tried to hide among the lavender sage flowers. She remained very still even when our vehicle approached. Obviously, she had been taught by her mother to do this when danger approached. I was grateful for her choice of such a lovely composition that she produced for my photograph. The adults can be distinguished from Steenboks by the distinctive white blaze around their eyes & the short, bushy black tail. [Lechwe Plains, Kafue NP, Zambia].
