Newborn Guanaco

A newborn Guanaco Fawn, 5 hours old, standing next to its parents was born the same morning as this photograph was taken. Its fur was still wet from the amniotic fluid. Note the residual of the umbilical cord on the fawn. (See nest image for close-up). [Torres del Paine, Chile].
