The late Dr. Howard D. Sirak started out as a congenital heart surgeon, and after retirement, took up photography of animals of many countries. He and his wife have been on month-long safaris in Africa 17 times (most recently in the fall of 2011), and also in Alaska, Central & South America and the Galapagos.
