Sitatunga
The Sitatunga is a very, very shy herbivore that chooses a papyrus marsh in which to live. It's hooves (in adult males 8-9 inches long) are adapted--in both sexes--by splaying wider when the animal needs more support on mushy ground. In the distant background, one can see the beautiful papyrus folliage. [Democratic Republic of the Congo (taken from across the Kafue River)].
