Dung Beetles
The THREE images are of Dungbeetle males contesting possession of a ball of elephant dung which one of them had rolled into a nice round ball. He wanted to roll it to his burrow, so that the female could lay her egg in it. The dung would provide nourishment for the hatchling. But somewhere along this tire track, he was intercepted by two other males who needed a dung-ball for the same purpose. Thus, there ensued the fight between the three males in which one or two were continuously being knocked off the dungball. The ball went in one direction, or the other, depending on which male was 'driving' the ball.
