This male vervet monkey is one of the largest I've seen. He is also a mean critter who will not tolerate a humans's presence. You can see his scarred & deformed mouth--probably the result of numerous fights with other males over breeding rights in the troop. The blue scrotum is a threat symbol to discourage other males from trying to pick off his females. I don't think that other males would take him on because of his unusual size.
